Siobhan and Petra

Petra and Siobhan met working in a Montessori school, and worked together as part of a small team for several years. After several happy years and some life changing experiences we decided to come together to create the 'Little Montessori House'.

Siobhan: I left the Montessori school to have my two wonderful children, Sophia and Arthur. I love watching them grow and develop.

Before the Montessori school I studied Psychology at the University of Plymouth, and realised I was most interested in child development.

My Grandmother owned her own Montessori school in America and suggested I find out about it myself. So I looked in to the Montessori teaching method and attained a level 3 in Montessori teaching for 0-6 year olds, through the Bournemouth Montessori Centre.

Petra; I began my Montessori journey when my two sons where 2 and 3 years old. Montessori just seemed to make sense and instinctively felt right. I began a distance learning course with the college in London. As I lived in France at the time, my teaching practice was at a Montessori School in Versaille Paris.

I moved back to the UK and worked at the same nursery as Siobhan. We have now realised a dream of opening up a small nursery together where we can share our passion for Montessori philosophy.
